I am a japanese national and have been living in Wellington. I was web-surfing and found your interesting site. It is nice to see Toyohashi, my home town on the web.
Anyway, this giant ape supposed to be the King Kong on the Empire Building. The building underneath is (was when I was there) Liquor shop. I cannot remember the name of the shop. Maybe the name has something to do with the King Kong?
