So apparently 24 is popular in Japan. I talked to two students today who are avid fans, and I found this pretty nifty toy at the convenience store tonight. The rest of this post is basically for Christine. I won’t be at all offended if you don’t read it.

In Japan, capsule machines can be found in every store. Japan’s obsession with opening up a capsule to find a random toy even extends to the toy shops, where you can buy (extremely well crafted) figures that come randomly in small boxes. A few weeks ago I was in Toys R Us, when I found just such a box. A box that instantly caught my attention when it had a still image of this memorable scene on it.
